- Question: What is this web portal about?
Answer: This web portal is a part of the project "Support of establishment and development of a National Business Center in Slovakia." The strategic objective of the project is to create a National Business center (NPC) as an interface between the private / business sector, research and development (R & D) and academia that will meet the needs of entrepreneurs in terms of enhancing their competitiveness and innovation performance and enabling application of R&D knowledge on the market through the business sector as well as in social practice.
Question: What does an acronym NPC mean?Answer: NPC is an acronym for National Business Center.
Question: What does an acronym SCSTI mean?Answer: SCSTI is an acronym for Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information.
Question: What does an acronym SBA mean?Answer: SBA is an acronym for Slovak Business Agency.
Question: What does the web portal offer?Answer: The web portal provides establishment of relations and possible cooperation among registered entities and R&D communities. The main objectives are: to support the search for partners for cooperation in specific areas; to support research and development; and to support business growth and implementation of new knowledge into practice.
Question: How can I register to the web portal?Answer: If you are not a registered user, please fill in the registration form within the "Login" section.
Question: What are the advantages for the registered entity?Answer: In addition to services provided by organizations SCSTI and SBA, registered entities can establish cooperation in different areas of research and development, and search for possible partner organizations. Within the cooperation it is possible to achieve support in business growth, offer services to other entities, and search for entities that could be able to provide services based on your requirements.
Question: How can I change my password?Answer: You can change your password in the user profile section.
Question: What if you forget your password?Answer: If you forget your password, it will be necessary to request a new one.

Organizations
- Question: How can I view the profile of an organization?
Answer: In the section "My Partners" use the available filter criteria and search for desired organization then click on its title to view the details of the organization you were looking for.
Question: How can I apply for a representation of my organization?Answer: More information on representation is available after registration in the portal NPC.
Question: What is the relation between a representant and an organization?Answer: The relation between a representant and an organization allows the representant to use the services of the NPC portal on behalf of the represented organization.

Supply and demand
- Question: How can I enter a bid or demand?
Answer: In the section "supply and demand" use the "add" button.
Question: What is "supply"?Answer: Supply means any services of a registered entity offered to other registered users.
Question: What is "demand"?Answer: Demand means any services provided by registered entities to an entity interested in such services.

Search
- Question: What is an automatic search for potential partners?
Answer: Automatic search regularly and in a specified interval compares the profiles of enterprises and scientific and research institutions. NPC portal will automatically make suggestions for partnerships between entities with similar profiles.
Question: Based on what data are the potential partners searched?Answer: Potential partners are searched based on NACE codes, keywords and description of their activities. These data represent also a profile of the entity.

Answer: Registered user can order a service by means of registration form, which is available in the section "My Services".
